I would be so happy if I walked by and saw this in action. Will watch the video many times instead!

NYC in action, circa 1935...
Seventh Avenue Looking South from 35th St., Manhattan
Berenice Abbott, 1935
Part of Abbott's CHANGING NEW YORK project
Interesting bio of the artist here and here. Berenice was a photographer, sculptor, and a poet in the 1920's, and became a darkroom assistant to Man Ray before starting her own studio in Europe.
During a visit to New York in 1929, she was inspired by the potential of a photographic project highlighting NYC architecture and design. This evolved into her CHANGING NEW YORK position via the Federal Art Project.
Inspiring woman!

Fun! Make sure to click and enlarge for full effect.
POPULOUS-AUDREY
by Craig Alan
More info about Craig Alan here. (Love the part, "Craig's creative luminance did not wholly shine until his family transferred to New Orleans...")
Well worth meandering over to the great post on Colossal, People as Pixels, which includes a number of fascinating photos of "people as the fundamental building blocks for larger images."
Big scale art involving crowds. How could that not be fun?

Worth watching for a variety of reasons. Check it out. Pass it on.
LOST AT SEA from Marcus O'Brien on Vimeo.
"A sincere thank you to Peter Trayhurn for his time, patience and passion throughout the shoot. As the day progressed Peter shrugged off tiredness to assist any way possible in addition to sharing a very personal insight into that life-changing day almost four years ago. A subtle reflection of his true spirit and generosity.
You can read the latest about Peter via his blog:

Thank you also to (retired) Captain Peter Rietdijk for his time and beautifully spoken words."
